Welcome to the Agitated Plover Salon. We are a group of Kingston based contemporary artists working in a range of media. Our project Unapologetically Expedient was a series of three to five hour exhibitions that infiltrated unexpected venues while exploiting an economy of available resources. In November 2013, we took over a vacant duplex, in December 2013, we transformed a renovated garage, in April 2014, we went no holds barred with an exhibition in the Old City Hall Jail, and in June 2014 we dug deep for a show in a limestone basement. In September 2014 we held our last exhibition in the Unapologetically Expedient series in six motel rooms at Kingston Motel West.

Agitated Plover Salon was formed in June 2013 from participants of Your Own Grad School, a project by Cliff Eyland and Jeanne Randolph that took place at Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre, March 9-April 20, 2013. Our mission is to seize the indomitable spirit of DIY and renegade intellectualism to foster community, revel in artistic discussion and argument, and create opportunities for growth. Current collective members are: Sunny Kerr, Julia Krolik, Michèle LaRose, Erin Milliken, Chantal Rousseau, and Harry Symons. Former collective member was Milosh Rodic. Read about us in the January/February issue of Kingston Life magazine.
